If like me you regularly visit online marketing forums, you can’t have ignored the fact that threads about online security issues appear  frequently. The range of problems people are experiencing is really quite broad.

Perhaps one of the major concerns involves dwindling affiliate commission and the conclusion by many that affiliate link hijacking is to blame. However, others are still experiencing incidents of web page theft, bandwidth theft, product theft, breach of copyright, and many others. Not to mention the frequent outbreaks of new viruses and malicious software whether real or just hoaxes.

Unfortunately, most cases occur due to the lack of knowledge and awareness of webmasters and online business owners. They simply don’t understand the risks! The sad thing is that in most cases it really isn’t that difficult to protect yourself, or more importantly protect your business.

My own experience has been that much is written about individual risks whilst they are the ‘flavour of the month’. Yet I’ve never found a website that addresses all the Internet security risks faced by a home business owner all in one place. So being the kind of fool I am, I decided to create one! That in a nutshell is what this blog is all about.

In producing ‘eBiz Bodyguard’ my aim has been to provide broad guidance on the major risks your business is exposed to online. No one can guarantee their online business is 100% safe from all risks. But by employing the strategies I describe in this blog you can be sure that your business will be safer than most others online.

But reading this blog is not enough! The important thing is that you use the information it contains to assess the risks that your own business is exposed to and take action to protect yourself.
